The HYVET study
• HYVET is designed to observe the benefits and risks of reducing blood pressure in very elderly hypertensives (aged 80 or more)
• HYVET is the largest clinical trial in very elderly hypertensives • 3845 patients are participating in the HYVET study • These patients are from 11 different countries • HYVET also includes major sub-studies, looking at cognitive function after intervention, fractures, quality of life, and arterial function • HYVET is an international trial  |
